BEAM robotics is more then toys with quasi-neural
responses. If organized with collocated data, and distributed
computational architecture, the many can act as one. This
is the technology that excites LTG, Inc.. The concept of hundreds
of inexpensive robots in an environmental remediation or similar
project, covering a larger area, and reporting the data to
a central system.
Specific BEAM-bot applications include:
- Water-bots with Raman Spectroscopy for 24/7 water systems
quality management.
- OEGIS-bots with EM and MRI systems, working as an army
of fact finding ants.
- Aerial-bots for Geographical, Geological, and Hydrological
data collection.
- Duct-bots for air quality management in large office facilities.
- Glide-bots that are rocket deployed for communications,
and atmospheric testing.
There are many applications where an army of inexpensive
learning bots, become more economical feasible, then limited
human resources can provide. LTG, Inc. is seeking placement
for this technology, which is still in the R&D world,
but is accelerating into the work force of data collection
in the environmental scheme.
