SHOOTING SPORTS
Computer physical modeling and instrumentation
integration into the shooting sports equipment is based upon
the years of competitive experience from LTG, Inc's founder
William Niedermeyr.
In 1980 William entered the competitive sport
of smallbore rifle. Shooting in Germany during the early 80's
in the nontrivial sport of Air Rifle, brought a great appreciation
for the discipline and kinesthetic sense that competitors
exercised. In the 90's William started the shooting team at
the University of Utah. Soon after William completed certification
programs for the disciplines of Rifle, Pistol, Shotgun, Muzzle
Loader, Home Defense, Personal Protection, and National Class
C Coaching in Smallbore 3 position rifle. Coaching and instruction
for the Department of Military science for 3 years William
was privy to many of the coaching techniques, standards, and
equipment as used by the US Olympic Shooting Team.
Studying instrumental physics at the time and
coordinating with other coaches, William found a need for
technology to help record data that would give the coach and
competitor empirical/qualitative data. What resulted were
several technologies, including ranging systems using XY Gaussian
Laser Diode emissions and complex fluid dynamics models for
internal ballistics. These technologies have expanded into
systems only available to Law Enforcement and the Military.
Currently a Capillary Multiport Non-reactive
Ballistic Platform is being developed with the help of William's
competitive friends who just happen to be military personnel.
